Szőke Péter

"I pick up whatever tool the problem needs. I care about what gets shipped."

Twelve years of shipping software products — from freelance projects and a full-time role at a media company to co-founding five startups. Product, design, infrastructure, and marketing: I've owned the technical side end-to-end.

I · Origins

Started
young.

Long before university, I was already deep in it. A website for my father's business. Flash games with Adobe's scripting tools. Fan sites for things I cared about. Custom themes for Sony Ericsson phones. GTA San Andreas servers with modded scripts.

At 19, I enrolled in computer science. One semester later, I left — I was already freelancing as a web developer, working across roughly 20 different client projects. A media company noticed my work and brought me on full-time to build and maintain their network of sites. It was my first real team environment, and it confirmed what I already suspected: I learn fastest by shipping.

That was 2014. By 2017, I was ready to build something of my own.

FollowPlanner

Peak Revenue
$9K MRR
Users
150

My first venture — an Instagram marketing automation SaaS. I owned the entire technical side: the product, the auto-posting engine, engagement automation for thousands of accounts simultaneously, and one-on-one customer support.

The technical challenge that excited me most: reverse-engineering the Android Instagram application to better simulate authentic user behavior at scale.

ProxyPlanner

Infrastructure
80 SIM cards

Born out of a real problem we hit with FollowPlanner: Instagram automation required high-quality IP addresses that were nearly impossible to source. I built the solution — a proxy service running 80 SIM cards through USB internet modems, hosted on a fleet of Raspberry Pis.

Custom proxy software, modem management through the AT protocol, and mass orchestration of the Raspberry Pi hosts via Ansible. Where software met hardware.

Tracking
3M accounts
Global Rank
Top 500 Alexa

When SocialBlade announced they were shutting down Instagram tracking, we launched a free alternative within 24 hours. The timing was everything — we filled the vacuum instantly.

As the sole technical and product person on the team, I scaled the platform to track three million Instagram accounts with metrics and posts refreshed at least once every 24 hours. The free product reached Alexa's top 500 global sites. A paid tier for agencies brought in $20K monthly recurring revenue at its peak.

Compass.art

Launch
1,000 passes
in 7 minutes

One of the first NFT analytics and tracking platforms on Ethereum, second only to Icy Tools in the space. I led the technical side — building a fully custom Ethereum chain indexer pipeline — while managing two other developers and collaborating with a dedicated designer.

The launch was strong — 1,000 access passes sold in seven minutes. But the broader NFT market downturn made long-term monetization difficult, particularly with lifetime passes already sold.

2023

Domino.run

Peak Revenue
$16K MRR

What started as a generalist "Zapier for Web3" pivoted into community management automation software. The product is a full no-code automation platform: a custom JavaScript runtime and sandbox, a visual workflow builder, and an execution layer built on Temporal.

The most technically ambitious product I've built — the custom runtime alone was a fascinating engineering challenge. Revenue peaked at $16K MRR before broader market conditions in the Web3 space took their toll.
